GODLY LETTERS TO ENCOURAGE YOUNG HEARTS
Children learn about who God is, what He has done, and how he loves us through Godly, encouraging letters. Upon parental approval, each student in the program will be mailed one letter each month.
The Love of God
Would you be interested in a program that, using Christian principles from the Bible, teaches the love of God to your child?
Writers give their letters to our Children’s Ministry Director who reviews them, initials them, and mails the letter to the child’s address. The writers are not given addresses or last names.
If your child cannot read, they will still enjoy hearing you read it to them! Each letter will contain a verse or two with a simple explanation that should not be longer than one paragraph. Each letter will be short, informative, and loving, leaving them to anticipate the next letter.

Good day (child’s name),
Today we will learn, from the Bible, that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God tells us that He made us in His image, and that He loves us.
The Bible tells us that there is a God who loves us very much and cares about us each and every day. God knows all about us, as He created us and has endowed us with certain skills,
talents, and interests. He will teach you more about those gifts when you get older. It is God’s desire that we should know Him and love Him in return.
Until next time; God’s friend and yours.

Today, in the book of Matthew, Chapter 26, we are told to pray so that we don’t fall into temptation.
Temptation, is the encouragement to do something that is not good. Sooner or later we all will be encouraged, or tempted, to do something that is wrong or not nice. It’s at times like this when we should really concentrate on God’s will and not our own. Usually you can see a temptation coming and when you do, turn away, or walk away from it. Don’t forget, pray to God, and He will help you escape from temptation.
Until next time; God’s friend and yours.

In the book of Isaiah, God tells us that He is the one and only God. There was none before Him, and there will be none after Him.
You see the Bible is made up, or comprised, of 66 different books, with the book of Isaiah being one. It brings a smile to my face knowing that our God will always be around. He’ll always be here to guide us, teach us, love us, and protect us. I bet knowing that has put a smile on your face too. It should warm your heart to know God will always be there; He’s not going anywhere.
Until next time; God’s friend and yours.

Scripture tell us that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective, and another verse tells us to pray continually.
When we pray, we are talking to God and we can be assured that He is listening. When we believe in God, trust in Him, and obey Him, then we are righteous in His sight. God likes to hear what is on our heart and about what concerns us. We’re told God answers all prayers; yes, no, or not now. Just remember, no matter what the answer is, He loves you and cares about you all the time.
Until next time; God’s friend and yours.

In the book of James, Chapter 5:13, it states: Is anyone among you in trouble? Let him pray.
Have you ever been in trouble? Your answer is probably, yes. You see, no one is perfect. Only God is perfect and everyone else, including me and you, is not. Yes, we all fall short of the glory of God and do things that displease Him. When we find ourselves in trouble, we should pray to God and ask for forgiveness. If we pray from our heart (truly meaning what we say), God will forgive us. God has provided a way to get forgiveness and we’ll get into that in our next letter.
Until next time; God’s friend and yours.
