How It Works

Curious about the steps?

Parents work together to offer homeschool classes with a hands-on learning environment in order to provide expertise-oriented group instruction but remain privately responsible for their children’s education.

1. Register online

2. A homeschool co-op mentor will be assigned to your family. Look out for a phone call from us, as this interview completes your enrollment with LTL.

3. Volunteer preferences: once registered, please fill out the Volunteer Preferences Form.

4. Read the handbook on the Member Portal and complete the Family Registration Packet that will arrive via email from HelloSign.

5. Classes are Fridays at the class times you choose for your child at Grace Coastal Church.

6. Parents act as leadership facilitators and must be on site when their child is in a class unless approved for the drop-off program. Parents are assigned a job each week.

7. Please pack a lunch, drink, and snack for yourself and your child. Students will receive emails from their teachers about what to bring to class.

8. Join our member group on FB or sign up for our weekly newsletter to get the most out of our program.

9. Questions? Let us know at admin@learntogetherlowcountry.org

Learn Together Lowcountry (LTL) is a true homeschool cooperative.

A co-op, or cooperative, is a group of parents who come together to create group classes and programs for their children.

LTL offers group instruction and private tutoring for homeschoolers on twelve Fridays each fall and spring (September - December and January - April). Middle and high school teachers offer assistance with class credits.

Homeschool classes, workshops, nursery, playtime opportunities, bible instruction, and special events are offered for local homeschooled children, ages 0-19. LTL also offers private tutoring and music lessons.

At LTL homeschool co-op you will find a community of engaged homeschooling families gathering once per week during the school year to help our children learn and grow in a community setting.

A safe space

We value the safety of our homeschooling children and community. One of the many safeguards in place is security checks. Every homeschool co-op team member, including part-time volunteers and substitutes, are required to complete applications and background checks.

LTL utilizes a check-in and out process, name badges for all, and takes the safety of our students seriously. Parents are expected to remain on campus and volunteer during that time, unless an exemption is granted.

While teachers are often also parents, they are expected to undergo the same background and security checks as other staff and volunteers.

LTL staff regularly reminds students and parents, “If you see something, say something.” We strive to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children of all ages.
